Abstract: 

Part 1 will cover the trend of corporate clean power procurement, procurement contract structures, the varying risks and challenges for developers, and how this trend is evolving, including the concept of 24/7 CFE and the need for clean baseload to power data centers.

Part 2 will cover the novel procurement strategies corporations are taking to power data centers. These include tapping into the power of existing nuclear assets, large-scale offtake agreements for renewables, and offtake agreements for advanced clean energy solutions like geothermal and small modular reactors. 

Bio: 

Christine Wiley is an Energy Markets Analyst at the EDF Innovation Lab, located in Palo Alto, California. Leading the research on policy and regulation topics, her work with the Energy Markets Team focuses on evaluating how evolving technologies and policies are shaping energy market trends and opportunities. She holds an M.S. in Energy Policy and Climate from Johns Hopkins University, and a B.A. in Political Science with a Minor in Environmental Systems and Society from University of California, Los Angeles.
